Thanks for the videos...good stuff.
I have two questions...
1. I was just given a 5BTV, and don't care to use it on 80. Is there a way to take off the top 80m trap and stinger and make this into a 4BTV?
2. My space for an antenna is challenging with a metal roof and lots of obstructions around. If I ground mounted the antenna, there will be a 3' high chain link fence about 10 to 15 feet away. Is that going to cause unwanted reflection? Should I opt for roof mount even though it's metal?

Some hams say this antenna "doesnt work" but i think they dont have any radials under it. I have a 5 BTV with the 80 meter resonator removed(i have an 80 meter dipole) with a DX Engineering tilt plate and a DX engineering radial plate. The antenna is a breeze to tune with a MFJ 259 analyser! Put down lots of radials and it will work GREAT!

very nice description and thank you very much. i am in the process of getting one like this from dx engineering.

Hi yourself. I wonder if I can use 4BTV in 30 meters without the trap sold by dxengeneering. Thanks for help.

tech upgrading to general, looking at this antenna for my restricted space lot. Just curious, will radial orientation affect drastically my radiation pattern, or is this antenna hearty enough to still be functional. I may be restricted to running my radials basically in two directions instead of the circular pattern recommended.
thanks for this great video.

@pspbarry Thank you for your comment. The Hustler 4BTV is very easy to assemble, and it is a very high performance antenna when placed over a comprehensive ground radial system. 73 de we5i
