The ladies of Washington State University's Pacific Islanders Club perform the hula during Dad's Weekend Luau 2005. Song: "Ka Uluwehi O Ke Kai" by Hapa.
These ladies are not professional dancers -- some never danced hula at all before this, some never visited any of the islands, and others don't even have a drop of Polynesian blood in them -- but all were eager and willing to learn about the various cultures of the Pacific as well as learn the different dances. I'm proud of them and I think they put on a fantastic performance!
PIC's Mission: "As an organization, we strive to address issues concerning Pacific Islanders students. Our goals are to educate and inform people (Pacific Islanders and non-Pacific Islanders) about our cultures and traditions, as well as aid in the recruitment, retention, and graduation of Pacific Islander students.
We welcome new students and provide them a forum where they can openly express their thoughts and opinions, while providing moral support and peer guidance."
I really like your version. very nice dancing!

This is really great. Do you still have the original video and can resubmit? It seems it cut off before it was finished. I'd love to see the whole thing.
