  • Very good video. I know several people that fall into those categories, at least one. Most of it has to do with inconsistency and lack of direction in ones life.

  • damn, my robot crashed, my emoter is out of order, my thinker is all that's left and it is suffering mental breakdown...I'm screwed

  • Needs to make a distinction between the brain and people's decision making process (behavior). The two are not the same; the human brain is a beautiful miracle we are only beginning to understand. Behavior is complicated in it's own ways by history and society. Don't blame the brain for human behavior. Check out Jim Kunstler's take on American mindset: How do you like the Long Emergency so far? on TED x.

  • I love learning about the brain. Somehow I think I'll still be fat, broke, and busy, but at least now I know why :)

  • Cool presentation. One of the best TED talks I've seen.

  • when i go to work, the robot takes the wheel and the thinker beats the shit out of the emoter.

  • wow, thinker robot emoter, have you found these in the brain?

  • This was somewhat interesting. I agree that we really don't have the right tools to change habits in our ordinary conscious mind. I'm still not quite sure what to do to change both the thinker and emoter at the same time.

  • oh silly label-less axis and floating box qualitatively driven data points, where would the world be without you.
