The Ronald Andersen Special Edition Band was formed in 1996, but in 1998 the band went to a chance in the line up. The famous beautiful playing sax player Finn Odderskov joined in together with the also very fames trombone player Freddie John. And from there the band went some steps up. In 2008 the also famous and very talented piano-player Peter Rosendal joined the band as well as bas player Stig Torndyb and wonderful singer Ann Borgwardt. The drummer Finn Hjeml Jacobsen and guitarist and band leader Ronald Andersen was the remaining of the original line up. Unfortunately it became more and more difficult to gain work for such a big line up, so on these recordings you see some of the last work this line up did together. The Band was joined by proo trumpeter Peter Marrot. Here you have "Rute 66" from Swingin Copenhagen Jazz-club in Copenhagen. Ronalds inspiration on electric guitar Jeff Beck does indeed come forward here. Filmed by Ron Lind
The finest and most swinging Rute 66 - Anne is so cool and the band is great.
