God has the ability to, yet he does not. Despite this, we have faith in Him.
Why does the child starve? Why do hurricanes and floods ruin the lives of many? Why do the armies of men slaughter, rape, pillage?
Yet, this is the purpose of faith, to render such questions meaningless and futile - in our humility we must accept God's grand design.
I'm a lazy, selfish bastard - so n0 I would not. I would feed a hunger child if I met him in person, but I don't care to donate.

Your cause is good, but a bit misguided... you can't just pour money into every impoverished country out there and expect things to get better. Besides, depending, it may not even get through... for example, the Burmese government won't allow other countries to give aid to its starving people. There are times when you have to deal with the governments themselves.
Also, hacking TV Tropes was an underhanded way of getting your point across, and will alienate people from your cause more than help.

People die - God made it so. And all life will, and must, return the the dust of the Earth, by His will.
Suffering is part of the Labor of mankind. Do you trust in God, in that there is a purpose in our suffering?
I trust in the Lord that suffering is a necessary part of our world - our personal experience of pain, anguish, fear, loneliness all a testament to Him - that our eternal reward is something to be treasured. That we will not have to suffer once in his arms.
