So all 4 Biblical gospels were written while the eyewitnesses of Jesus' life were still alive, and two of them - Matthew and Luke - WERE by eyewitnesses, while Mark and Luke drew heavily on eyewitness testimony. The Judas Gospel reflects the Gnostic idea that Jesus never had a physical body, so that his death on the Cross was not redemptive - and, in the physical sense, never happened at all. This was a 2nd and 3rd century heresy, NEVER a teaching of those who actually knew and followed Jesus.

The "truth" about Judas? I hope you are not talking about the "Judas Gospel." Even its discoverer admits that it dates about 150 years after the Crucifixion, by someone who neither was nor ever knew the actual Judas - it's simply a Gnostic forgery, like all the other Gnostic gospels that were written over 100-300 years after the time of Christ and were done to promote a heretical viewpoint, not to express historical truth. By contrast, all 4 of the Biblical gospels date within the 1st Century!

Knowing the truth about Judas takes away from the songs meaning. But nonetheless still a great tune.

@gingervytis : Hey, my brother and I figured that out in the late 80's - we had this little keyboard that you could record yourself, play it back, even reverse it. We did it for this song intro, and that is what it says. I first heard these Petra albums on records, later cassettes and now CD's (and imported to AAC/WMA/MP3). Great music with great message, and Greg X. Volz has amazing range. Thanks for uploading it.

Why are you looking for the devil, when you should be looking for the Lord?

God, I will never know how much I hurt You!

@champ41289 thats true , seen em in concert several times , the keyboard talking is easy , its programed , what you hear at the beginning fo this song is backmasking, something bands used to do back in the 70s & 80s , theyd record something backwards on the album intentionally, you would have to play it backwards to hear what it really says , satanic bands used to do it a lot , what Petra wrote here says "what are you looking for the devil for when you should be looking for the Lord" ;)
Petra is one of those band that you can feel deep down in your soul, good music, and about God and the Savior Jesus, Rock On!!
