What if Domenico Scarlatti tried to one-up the Cocteau Twins on a solo electric guitar?

This piece suddenly gelled in its current form on the winter solstice of 1995 in a snowy hamlet in the hills outside of Zurich.

I recorded this the day I got ProTools working the first time.

Tech notes: mid-90's Stratocaster mid pickup into Boss SE-70 multi-fx into a Digi002 rack.

The still is a photoshop'd manhole cover commonly seen in Tokyo, that I shot on actual film in 1997.

Thanks for taking the time to give it a listen.

Frank Sheeran

  • was only researching the se70 to see if it had the sounds I want, but your piece grabbed my attention! I can visualise the snow capped peaks when I listen to this, you've captured the feeling :) only trouble is, now I've got itchy feet to get back to the alps!!

  • The music is amazing and beautiful! Well done, Frank :-D
