Part 1 of 7 of scenes from the 1996 movie series, "Dead Mans Walk", starring David Arquette, Jonny Lee Miller, F. Murray Abraham, Keith Carradine, Patricia Childress, Brian Dennehy, Edward James Olmos, Eric Schweig, Harry Dean Stanton, and Jennifer Garner.
This prequel to Lonesome Dove takes place in the Texas Republic in the early 1840s where two young rangers, Augustus McCrae (David) and Woodrow Call (Jonny) make an attempt to capture Santa Fe and annex New Mexico as part of the Texas-Santa Fe expedition. Led by Caleb Cobb (F. Murray), guided by Bigfoot Wallace (Keith), and mountain friend (Harry), the group face battle, bloodshed, capture, and narrow escape from both Mexican forces and the great Comanche led by Buffalo Hump and his wild men.
Directed by Yves Simoneau
Based on the novel by Larry McMurtry

  • Thanks for posting this! :)

Can someone tell me if Jonny Lee Miller´s accent sounds authentic, please? I hear he´s pretty good at accents. :)

  • You're very welcome! =D I don't know if Jonny's western accent sounds authentic, I mean it sounds good considering he has a British accent in real life and spoke in an American accent on "Eli Stone". ;D

  • I am related to "Bigfoot" Wallace, William A.A. Wallace is also a descendant of Scotland's William Alexander Wallace..... That dude Mel Gibson Falsely portrayed lol. Thanks for posting my friend

  • Muy buena serie he tratado de conseguirla y no se donde comprarla.

A proposito quisiera que la subtitularan.

  • I've been reading the entire series for the first time (shame on me, being from Texas), and Harry Dean Stanton? PERFECT choice for Shadrach. Nice scene with Buffalo Hump. Not exactly how I pictured, but nice.

  • I haven't seen any of the other parts of the series either. I think they gave "Lonesome Dome" on AMC not too long ago, I'm not sure if they'll give it again. =/ Have a great day too! ;D

  • i see, well i guess you're right. i have read lonesome dove, dead man's walk, streets of laredo and comanche moon, this is the first time i've watched the movie.can't seem to find lonesome dove. would you care to post that :D have a nice day!

  • Oh I'm sorry, if I had posted the whole thing, it would take over 20 videos, and I guess I had thought that not too many people would care to watch the full movie for 4 1/2 hours, so I had mostly posted McRae's scenes and reduced it to about 76 minutes. =/

  • tnx for posting. not that i;m being ungrateful but why didn't you post the full movie instead of just scenes?

  • It sounds good to me too, although I´m not English-speaking so I can never say for sure. They say that in Trainspotting he did the best Scottish accent ever done by a non-Scottish person. He sounded so authentic people thought he actually WAS Scottish.
