Winner of a Shell LiveWIRE Grand Ideas award for May 2011, Whitehouse Care Services is a new home care provider for older people living in the North East. Staff members will go directly into people's homes and provide them with the level of care they require. The business offers all aspect of personal care, including: washing, dressing, toileting and bathing/showering. They also offer a companionship and befriending service. The carers may have a drink and a chat with the customer, go for a walk, or maybe help them do things which they have been unable to do on their own. Whitehouse Care Services also offers cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, medication prompts and short-term care for people recovering from a stay in hospital.
