Since 4.0.1, Moonfire Spam is actually useful if you have Lunar Shower Talent, obviously its still better to use Eclipse, but if you're overgeared or grinding low lvl mobs and don't get Eclipse as often, it's actually Faster AND More Mana Efficient to stay in a Solar Eclipse, Moonfire, Insect Swarm while Strafing to get Shower to Max, then Spam Moonfire while Strafing to keep Shower up.

I like how a small clip of someone showing off the new Moonfire spell art has turned into a debate of what tree to spec into as a Mage if you want to spam the same button until the mob is dead.
Seriously guys, grow the fuck up, okay? This video has nothing to do with "Moonfire spam", he was simply spamming Moonfire over and over so you could get a good view of the graphic.
