  • When I do this, my background video (like a clip of throwing a grenade in an online game) completely covers my green/red/blue screen video, even when I put Chroma Keyer on the green/red/blue screen clip before or after the background. Using Movie Studio. Frustrated!

  • @MoonGuardAtMidnight If the background video covers the greenscreen clip, it means the chromakey effect hasn't been applied, or the color chosen in the chromakey effect doesn't match the color on the greenscreen effect.

  • @guerillabill So is there a specific way I can reset all the colours to match so I don't have to change them everytime that you know of?

  • @MoonGuardAtMidnight I have no idea of what you mean by 'reset all the colors'.

With the chromakey effect, you choose one color that is the chromakey background. That's all you have to do.

  • Does any video type work for this?

  • @KING20126 Yes, all video types work. But the higher quality video you start with, the better quality results you'll get. Highly compressed video formats (divx, xvid), produce poor results.

  • thanks for this tip as i really will find it useful!!!!! thanks an avid learner

  • I'm trying to literally choose the compositing mode "screen", similar to "overlay". But all I get in Movie Studio are the options "overlay (mask)" and "source alpha"

  • Thanks for the Tutorial! Helped me a lot!

  • wow, that was really helpful :3 thank you so much!
