This visually stunning film compares and contrasts historic Aspen with its present day counterpart through amazing imagery and deft photography. What has changed? What remains unchanged? Historic black-and-white photography meld seamlessly into rich motion images shot by videographer Joel Lee to create a breathtaking portrait of America's most beloved mountain community.

  • The Mountain Chalet is still operated by the Melville family and they are still wonderful, down-to-Earth folks working hard to keep the "old" Aspen alive. The Woody Creek Tavern has changed hands but has a similar feel as the old days. Great waitresses and tasty food. Thanks for your post and stop by if you are in Aspen.

  • I sure hope that the old Mountain Chalet is still up and running in Aspen. The family that operated it are the greatest people in the world. To bad Hollywood found it. Woody Creek Tavern was also a wonderful place full of great characters and I always felt at peace while walking amongst the people there.
