Me singing an aria to my 4th grade teacher Kathy. (She wasn't actually there, but I was thinking of her as I sang it!)

  • check your French diction.....nice voice!

  • @smartsingersrock Thanks, Christopher. Does that comment come with a complimentary voice lesson? ;)

  • are you really confused as to which voice part you are? You're singing everything in the baritone tessitura, so why would anyone think that you're anything different?

  • @MusicMan1519 Are you a voice teacher? Have you heard my other videos? Do you realize this was posted in 2007? People stop by and when they see something for the first time on YouTube, they think it's been posted 20 minutes ago. Voices and people change.

  • I hear baritone, buddy. But as someone who has studied and sung as both tenor and baritone, I know that modifications can be made to alter the timbre of the voice to sound like a tenor one day and sound like a baritone the next. HOWEVER, your timbre sounds naturally baritone...and very pleasing!

  • You have amazing talent and potential. You are indeed a baritone... in choirs and such you will probably be able to sing both parts for most songs...but for solo performance you are going to be able to sing all baritone songs, and maybe half of tenor songs. Songs like Nessun Dorma will probably be out of your range, but I may be wrong. You're an excellent singer, keep working on it.

  • @scottreiburn If I lived closer, probably so lol.

  • That is why you can lower the song. Popular singers do it all the time.

  • Verdian baritone

  • @fedeymini Not even close.

  • dramatic baritone

  • Respond to this video... The voice is full and resonant in this video, it's full and amazing. I would much much rather hear this voice. I hope you haven't given up on baritone!

  • @scottreiburn You're right... voices do change. It's hard to compare your other videos from a year ago of you singing tenor arias to this video.... mainly because this video isn't in front of a computer in your apartment/wherever. I can tell you this, though, they sound like completely different singers. Your voice type really doesn't have much to do with the notes you can physically sing--it's really about how your voice sounds--the timbre, the color.
