Why is it that whenever you disagree with a courts decision it is "judicial activism", but when you agree with the decision, the court is upholding the constitution? Have you ever read the court opinions? Have you ever looked at the constitution (state constitutions included)?

If you can show me where they violated the constitution, I'll have to give you credit, but broad accusations of "judicial activism" without evidence will be ignored.

So keeping religion out of the courthouse is "judicial activism"? How would you feel if the Quaran or Bhagavad Gītā was displayed in the court instead of the ten commandments?

They happened to be Christians, who were persecuted under Englands National church. That is why no national religion was written into the Constitution.

The Judeo Christian values were written into every founding document..

Every President chooses judicial nominees that agree with their own views on the issues. Remember the blockade that was put up for the nominees Pres. Bush chose?

Like it or not, the Justice chosen's views affect their decisions. If they are proned to choosing their own preferance, rather than the laws as they are written, they are an activist judge. How do you suppose the ACLU has gotten so far with removing God from the public square.

The Pilgrims came her for religious freedom.

Notice, the first amendment does not say "Congress shall make no law establishing which interpretation of Christianity shall be required." It prohibits government from establishing religion in general. It doesn't matter the christian background of the first settlers, the constitution specifically supports the separation of church and state.

If you were a Hindu, how would you feel walking into a court building here and being surrounded by christian scripture?

Btw, You did not answer my question relating to reading court opinions or reading state constitutions. Only when you actually look at the reason behind the decision can you have any credibility in criticizing it.

God has not been removed from the public square; it has been removed from government. There is a big difference. If you want to go to a public park and spread gods word, that is your first amendment protected right. But also in that amendment is the fact that the government cannot endorse any religion. Stop trying to get public teachers to lead their classes in prayer, and stop trying to put your specific religions moral code in the public court houses.
