Sonata in d minor, BWV 964, by Bach (third and fourth mouvements) played in Lisbon (2007). This harpsichord was built in 2004 by the dutch harpsichord builder Titus Crijnen and it is a copy from a flemish harpsichord made by Ruckers in 1624.

  • fantastic! that is a self-playing harpsichord!

  • @amarillo199A : please learn one thing today. That thing is called a 'piece', not a 'song'. Ok ;)

  • Sonata in d minor, BWV 964, by Bach (third and fourth movements)

  • wonderful performance. wonderful instrument.

  • There were many really beautiful things in this performance! I love what you do with the ornaments...and would love them more if they were slower! All that fast stuff on the harpsichord if done without restraint sounds like percussion. There is a point where "critical mass" is crossed and you might as well take out your tambourine instead. You might get away with more flourishes if you use less coupler (off during the slow movement). This is why Bach often "sounds" better on piano or organ.
