@tymongoji nah, i was a bit sceptical at first when i saw season 4, but the season sunk its hooks into me and you know why?

thats right, how that psychopath rose after season 3 to becoming virtually unquestioned aswell as how the wire gave the schools its special look aswell as the election of hizzoner was incredibly good, ofc it was pretty slow in the beginning ;)

the worst part of the wire is that you can't watch it for the first time a second time.

Season Four is grossly overrated...the main reason people think it's the best is because it involves kids and gets all the 25-40 year old suburban white people all emotional and teary-eyed. In reality, the season has a lot of problems and isn't nearly as intense or interesting as the remarkable Season 3.

@perradoxx not to defend HBO, but back then i dont think anyone would realize what kind of a modern day, american, epic it would become. Kinda hard to convince the bosses at HBO to put serious money behind it back then^^

Best trailer for The Wire hands down. I wish the Season 5 trailer had more of the epic sensibility that this one had. It looks pretty cheap by comparison, but it still works I guess. I dig the Season 4 trailer as well. Just wish Season 1 had more promo material. Slackin' ass HBO.
