Here is pioneer comedian Russell Hunting recorded on a very early Gramophone & Typewriter Monarch Record with "Casey As a Judge". It is a highly entertaining recording with lots of fun dialog. The phonograph is a large, very late rear mount Zonophone with the Zon-o-phone decal displayed in a deeply recessed oval. I've only encountered one other example of this late model Zonophone in many years of collecting. I'm sorry the video is rather dark - lighting is not good in the room where this phonograph is. Thanks for stopping in and I hope you enjoy the video.

  • Thanks so much, zjsprout, for your encouraging and refreshing comments. Russell Hunting is always a fun listen. I must admit that I've not played this particular Zonophone from my collection in a few years so it was good to crank 'er up and listen again!
