The Evolution of Final Fantasy [28] Alexander

Part 28 in a series that takes a look at the history of one of the greatest gaming franchises of all time, chronicling the many recurring themes, characters and monsters that have appeared over the years. This entry focuses on the giant castle-thing that shoots lasers, Alexander. Enjoy!

Notes regarding this video (please read before commenting!):

- For the entire series, I have simply gathered video footage from various sources on YouTube and compiled them together. I've done this only to entertain the many fans of Final Fantasy here on YouTube, so with that said, many thanks to all the folks who took the time to record the game footage.

- Again, for the whole series, I've focused solely on the main games. Remakes and updates of those games are featured, but I've opted to skip games like Tactics, FFX-2 and such. I had to draw the line somewhere to keep a reasonable length.

looks like FF9 is home to the most epic battle of Final Fantasy. I mean Bahamut - coolest most awesome dragon ever. Alexander - holy walking, living, mountain-sized castle that can fire countless beams from literally anywhere from the ground to the sky.

@TuxGohan Yes, but you gotta remember when this video was uploaded. 2008. 2 years before FFXIII released in 2010, so no one knew at the time.

Too bad you can't use IX's Alexander. He looked awesome. But you can use Bahamut... hmm... well, either way, Alexander's one of my favorite summons in the series.

You forgot to mention his presence in Final Fantasy IV. He's actually the Tower of Babil in the official FF art back in the day. Pretty cool and good job.
