A demonstration of the drum editing facilities and group editing facilities in Cubase 6, demonstrating the use of Drum Editing Deluxe Tool. Andrew Schravemade from Steinberg gives us a basic walkthrough of these features as well as many other new features found in Cubase 6 as part of our series of videos based around this phenomenal piece of software. This video was shot as part of a sneak pre-NAMM 2011 preview of Cubase 6 at the headoffice of DV (Digital Village).

  • the quantize is a joke, cubase grooves in version 4 were the best ever to make it sound humanize, now you only get a weak fl studio type groove designer with standart 0-100 % really speaking for myself,i havent made a beat with fun in months i make underground hiphop / hiphop /dubstep also the sounds and effects are really made for bands and not producers the drum groove agent is very standart with editing filter/pitch maybe for bands or dance producer who need that tight quantized its good !!

  • I've tried to find your track online. Can you post a link or something? I would really like to hear the full song. If it isn't released yet, when?

    -Thanks for the vid

  • @DwayneRussellMusic

Stuido recordings of music arn't allways recorded like a live preformance would be. They can get done instrament by instrament.

  • @clwilliams22

He played exactly 16 seconds fool. if you have ever done ANY editing you would know thats not enough to know if it worked.

  • @coreyfromtheband quantized drums still sounds tons more humane than a drum machine. inhumane perfection is the modern sound for a lot of genres, its what bands want and what people want to hear.

  • i still believe the best way to fix a bad beat, is more practise :P why don't u use a drummachine if u want "perfection"? a drummer is human with personality in his playing.. anyway sometimes you "have" to do it even if you wouldn't like to :) btw i have a question: how do you create hitpoints in cubase6?sometimes doesn't the fast breaks on the snare or so..

  • After you quantized the drummer, the band is out of time with him.

  • he did, dumbass.

  • Dude! How come you didnt play it so we could hear it? For all we know it sounds like crap.
