A road-killed Japanese venomous grass snake (a.k.a. Japanese water snake, tiger keelback; Rhabdophis tigrinus) in the family Colubridae attracted numerous blowflies, greenbottle flies (Lucilia sp., family Calliphoridae) and flesh flies (family Sarcophagidae). Flies were always the first on the scene. Late-June 2008 in Japan.
路上でヤマカガシ(蛇)が車に轢かれていた。死骸に早速キンバエやニクバエの仲間が集まっていて五月蝿い。
