I tried this way of making dishwashing liquid. I was VERY dissapointed. It was very weak and a waste of my time and money.

It is kinda weak compared to the super great dishwashing liquid you pay a buck for. I suppose if you do a lot of greasy dishes, having a bottle of store bought stuff up on the back of the sink would come in handy. For dishes, its great, for pans, with a lot of grease, gotta wash em twice with this stuff. Still has been cheaper than buying a bottle a week.

Is this hard on your hands? I do a LOT of dishes and my hands get really dry and itchy with regular dish soap. I would think this would be even stronger

Being a guy, I don't really notice if my hands are not as soft as they used to be. There is a lot less bubbles and cleaning agents in this when you make one bottle, so I would assume it is not as harsh as dishwashing liquid.

Yes. Sometimes very greasy pans have to be cleaned twice, but for regular washing its great.
