@xoverec an example of constat dehumanisation. Copyrights were set cause of greed. What about an artist being of inspiration for another?

Touching from the first second. I love the guitar and how Ane’s voice comes into the song. The song is sad but calming and comforting: “Your tears are much heavier these days. … We will make it. A little further. Don’t you worry. We’re almost there. You and me. I will be here.” It’s a very simple song, which makes it my favorite. Beautiful song, but written by the Grateful Dead actually. Their version is called 'Black Muddy River' and can be found on their 1987 album 'In the Dark'.
I don't know if Ane Brun takes the composer credits. If so, it must clearly be plagiarism?
Check also out Norma Waterson's version if you can find it somewhere.

@xoverec Ane Brun takes composer credits, and rightfully so, I think. I have listened to both GD's and Waterson's versions now (I actually have Waterson's CD), and I agree that the first lines are the same. But from where GD sings "I will walk alone by the black muddy river", it's no longer the same song, and neither is GD's chorus to be found in Ane Brun's song. So I don't think that this is plagiarism, when so little of the song is the same. Music history is full of "loans" like that.
