@einsteinbrothers I respect vegetarians, but I think you're vastly mistaken; eating meat isn't bad. Going around chopping up polar bears to make a steak is bad. Over dependence on meat is bad, while meat being a substantial part of our diet (And the diet of chimps as well) isn't murder. Please, don't take to my anti-anti-meat comment with prejudice, because I agree, people shouldn't over-hunt for a resource that is plentiful.

the amount of people in the world who want to eat meat is simply too big to permit humane killing and "good lives". it's a matter of scale, and impossible. its factory meat or nothing (support of any of the poultry industry is support of the whole poultry industry). humane meat is a pipe dream
there is also the moral quandary of whether animals should even be being actively bred for slaughter at all, no matter how "good" a life they lead
