THANKS...THATS GREAT

most of these boards short because there not water protected. The way to avoids this is to leave lid open after washing to reduce moisture. This will also keep it from rusting as bad over time also.

Yeah, it looks I have same F1 error problem with Whirlpool WTW6300sw0 model. Why isn't this control boaed on recall ?
-
I replaced the control board ($200 non-fundable) and now get an F error - nothing else! At least with the old F-1 error i could cancel / re-start and get the wash done, not any longer. Any suggestions would be appreciated - purchased the machine new in late 2007. Extremely frustating..

Yeah just install the new control board that will break in a year from now .

Had this video saved as a "favorite" for sometime...FINALLY ordered the control board from Sears (200 bucks) and followed this video for our Kenmore Oasis HE F1 error...fixed it with no problems. Thanks a lot! Saved us nearly 200 bucks from Sears rippping us off to come and replace it!

I really think whirlpool should've issued a recall for the ECU, it is so common that they clearly had a bad batch when these kenmore & whirlpool washers were manufactured...good thing I have the sears master protection agreement

Hello, my washers lid lock wont lock anymore will this method help fix this?
The F1 on these washers is a very common issue. Yes that protection agreement defiantly saved you some green backs. Thanks for your comment friend.

Hello,
From what you are describing the lid lock assembly would need to be replaced. This video explains how to replace the control board, it's the most common issue on this unit. The dreaded F1 error code.
Top control panel and top would need to be accessed to replace the lock assembly.
