USMC are based on the Royal Marines. If you look back to the American Revolution, the entire colonial military was based on that of the British, obviously they would be because of they were after all, colonies of Britain. Around this time the USMC was formed, based on that of the Royal Marines formed over 100 years before. The colonial regular military of the time was almost a carbon copy of the Brits, right down to the uniforms(except for the colour of course). But Big respect To The Lads

Fucking yanks really don't have a clue, that comes from personal experience not just hear-say. Although they are nice guys really they're not mentally prepared we ended up carrying most of there kit on a simple 12 mile tab!!!
