Its because of sentences that drip with that natural arrogant slant which prevents me from really rooting for the Abh, even though we see things from their POV.

The Goslauth was a training vessel (according to the 1st Novel), meaning this battle is Abh cadets vs UM veterans.

Their's a lot of stratagy that goes with it. it's not like it's simple.

Gosroth seems to be weaker than the patrol ships that appeared later (mostly in Banner). The Mankind's assault ships' positron cannon (which I assume they were firing) seemed to cut through the defensive magnetic field easily. Either that, or Mankind's assault ships are better than the Ahbs' (unlikely) or the ship had been wearing out (I don't know why).

it is because those ten ships are assault ships and Gosroth is a patrol ship.

patrol ships are much stronger than assault ships.

anyway, Gosroth has fought brilliantly.
