Warning: This circuitry is pretty advanced and can be pretty difficult to understand if you haven't already done some fairly complex redstoning. But don't worry! I have many more tutorials coming up and I guarantee that if you keep watching and learning you'll be able to figure this stuff out! :D

This is the circuitry that I use to layer multiple images on top of each other while still being able to see what's beneath the top image. What I did was set it up so the pixel has three states: On, Off, and Transparent. This means that I have a signal that says when the pixel is on, a signal that says when it's off, and if neither the on or off signal are on, it's transparent and you can see through it!

People say stuff like "Duuuh Sethbling is the god of redstone!" or "Etho is the god of redstone!" But really they have NEVER done anything as amazing as you do! Sethbling doesn't do so much advanced redstone. He just finds bugs and exploits them! Same with etho! You have made so much more!

Thanks, I appreciate the compliment! It's all about variety - I enjoy watching them do their thing and have fun doing my thing. :D

It would also be cool to have an explanation of what each input does in detail, and what happens in the system when these are active.

I can see what I can do about that - the one issue right now is my computer. I'm making videos on a laptop so there are some limitations in terms of what I can record while maintaining a good framerate. But there's good news! I'm going to be getting a new computer towards the end of August, and after that I'll be able to do much, much more!

This was surprisingly simple. I could have very easily thought out how this works, but I never could have been able to build it; let alone make it tileable.

The only thing I don't understand is what the bit shifter was used for.

Being able to build your ideas is something that comes with experience and playing around with redstone - In my opinion understanding how something works and being able to figure out a concept is the real important part. :D

The bit shifter is just an attachment that will allow for movement of an image on the screen - eventually I'll set it up so that any image can be moved. :D

Do you have a download / schematic of this so I could have a bit of a more detailed look?

    Thanks for your great videos

Haha I hope so! But I don't need to be big as long as people are enjoying my videos and learning my tutorials! :D

I absolutely would if I could right now - unfortunately if I had a bunch of these stacked together my FPS would suffer quite a bit (I'm making videos on a laptop right now). Fortunately, by the end of the month I'll have a new computer that will be far more powerful than what I've got now, so I'll have a much easier time doing videos and will be able to give better explanations of larger circuits without video quality suffering.
