Recorded on Sunday November 20, 2011 followed with a Postlude improvisation on the hymn tune 'Diademata.' At 3:38 UGH!!! THANK GOD the 'Underboss' couldn't make it, he would've fallen over from laughing at me over that slip and then I'd be forced to disown him lol! The re-harmonization credit goes to Hector Olivera (one chord), Mark Husey (about four chords), and the mind of BDM for the rest. Thank you B.L. for being such a good and generous friend the last 20 years!

  • @RikTara Hey Rik! How are you buddy? Hope all is well across 'the pond' and that you have a good Christmas. Cheers!

  • That was good Mark and as for the 3:38 moment, I think every organist in the world has moments like that occasionally.

I've had moments where my fingers seem to have left me, either that or my brain has had a temporary seizure.

Any chance in future you could have a separate microphone a bit further away from the organ to pick up the singing a bit more?

  • @goodchappy Thanks, It's been my full intention to purchase an external mic since I purchased my camcorder a year ago on November 4, 2010, but unfortunately when I had the funds to do so twice this year, that was very low on the priority list and honestly, I had forgotten all about that (even though I bought a mixing board). The right mic to buy would be a professional mic like an AKG or Earthworks and they're expensive. I do have the audio recordings of all three services I played in and they>>

  • @goodchappy >> are far better as you can hear the choir and congregation much better. Since I'm computer challenged (lol), I'll have to wait until my son has the time to come over to my place to upload those audio recordings with a slide show for me. Yeah, having the camcorder up in the gallery with me recorded more of the organ than it did the choir except in the All Saints Day service. That final hymn was a most popular one (All Creatures of Our God and King), and the Cathedral was packed.
