Scenes from the recent earthquake in Christchurch, New Zealand showing two buses destroyed. This video doesnt contain victims but did later learn 3 died in this incident. R.I.P

One of my workmates was supposed to be on that white bus but for some reason, she caught a bus that left 10 minutes earlier. She got to work when we were outside and she was crying.

Why don't they smash the emergency exit window so they can get out? Why doesn't the guy outside with the hammer smash it?

That was a very sad Day. I was there when it happened. The Constuction workers were brilliant trying to get the people off the bus.

Was this the route 3 from Sumner? - my friend was on that bus and we haven't heard any news about where or how he is. His name is Phil Coppeard - he's about 40 years old, 82 kilos/13 stones, short dark hair, he had a rucksack with him. if anyone has any more information we would be very grateful
