The school was started by shifting students above class V from CST Manali. The Department of Education bought this school mainly to provide boarding facility to the children of Tibetan community scattered in and around Manali and Kullu. Of late, children from distant place like Tuting and local Himalayan region have also joined this school. The hostel can accommodate 150 children. It is equipped with all the necessary facilities like library, computer room, playground etc. It is a secondary school affiliated to the CBSE Board having classes from VI to X. The first batch of class tenth students appeared for the Board examination in the year 2006. This school was inaugurated on 16th of July 2002.
