david: "You can try to be a better person."
selena: [[She looks up from the stinging tears in her eyes]] "Thats not funny!"
david: "It wasn't meant to be funny."
selena: "You know... I can't be nice."
david: "But you can sing..."
selena: "What does that have to so with anything?"
david: "It just does!" [[He grabs selena's hand and they run downstairs to the piano in the living room]]
selena: "Now what?" [[She stares down at the piano hanging in the living room]]
david: "Sing." [[He hands her a sheet of paper]] "This."
selena: "Okay....?" [[She starts the first lines as David starts the first notes on the piano]]

"I know this isnt what I wanted,
never thought it'd come this far,
just thinking back to where we started
& how we lost all that we are"

david: [[he began to sing as selena drew in breath to start another verse]]

"we were young & times were easy,
but i could see it's not the same.
i'm standing here but you don't see me,
i'd give it all for that to change.
and i dont want to lose her,
i dont want to let her go."

Selena: [[She cracked a smile and began to sing again as David nodded at her to sing]]

"Im standing out in the rain,
i need to know if its over,
cause I will leave you alone"

David: "flooded with all this pain,
knowing that i'll never hold her,
like i did...."

Selena: [[She instinctivly began to sing along]] "Before the storm"

Mandy: [[Comes down to see where--and what--the singing was coming from, she rushes upstairs after they finish with a satisfied smile]]

Selena: "Wow.."
David: "You were good."
Selena: "You rocked David."
David: [[He smiles]]
Selena: [[She smiles back]]

[[Saturday]]

Mandy: "Im shocked Selena. You've been doing a lot later lately."
Max: "Ive lost my sister..."
Selena: [[She smiles as she straightens the buttons on her shirt]] "Well how do I look?"
David: "You look awesome!"
Max: "Cool."
Mandy: [[She throws her arms around Selena]] "I think you look wonderful!"
Selena: "You ARE wondeful."
David: "Aww.. hall-mark moment."
Max: "Why are they a WALL-MART moment?"
David: [[He turns to face his brother]] "I said HALL-MARK moment!"
Max: "Shhh.. hall-mark moment."
David: [[he throws his hands up in fustration and expaseration]]
Selena: "C'mon David."
David: "Yups." [[He grabs his car keys and they leave]] "Bye moms. Bye Maxine." [[he closes the door before he could say anything else.]]
Mandy: [[Heads back into the kitchen]]
Max: [[He stands there smiling with his arms crosses, nodding until he finally stops everything and says]] "Wait! Did he just call me a chick?"
