The fastest and easiest way to get to Vienna and from Vienna to the airport is with the City Airport Train. The City Airport Train departs every half hour from the city center (U-Bahn Landstrasse/S-Bahn Wien Mitte) to Vienna International Airport. The ride takes 16 minutes and costs €10 for a single trip (€7,50 with the Vienna Card) and €18 for a return trip. The City Air Terminal in the city centre offers travellers the services of an international airport terminal. Check in your baggage up to 75 minutes before departure, get your boarding pass and enjoy the rest of your journey to the airport comfortably and stress-free.

  • No offense, but the CAT is a tourist trap. Its only advantages are that you can check in the day before and that it makes it to the airport in 16 minutes, but other than that it's exactly the same as the S-Bahn, which only costs €3.60 instead of €10.

  • Don't use the CAT! You pay a real fortune for a ticket!! Take the regular ÖBB S-Bahn (Austrian Federal Railway Express train) from the same train station. The trip then takes 10 minutes longer but costs just 3,60€ instead of 9€ when using the CAT.

  • Beutiful :)
