burning fat isnt really spurred by crunches or sit-ups. You dont lose fat around a certain area by working it out. If your primary goal is to lose fat you need a sensible diet plan and cardio. You might want to go low impact for awhile (I tore my MCL awhile back so i can relate.) You can swim, bike, use an elliptical or walk on a steep incline to lower the stress on your knee. Lifting weights also supports weight loss. As far as water or milk goes its kind of a personal choice.

Just do a shit ton of cardio and eat healthy, protein shakes mainly help rebuild muscles, not gain weight. So keep doing them with milk, for the added protein and calcium to help with bone re-construction on your knee. But def. more cardio than weights at this point.

I have a question. So what about the guys with belly fat? i've been doing crunches and set ups for quiet a while, i used to run a lot and eat alot without having a good nutrition, after a knee surgery which hasnt fully recover yet i've gained like 50 lbs. I;ve lost 20 so far, but i find it harder since i did stoped for a few months working out. Should i jugg(light run) or stick with set ups? i also work out...should i drink protein shakes with water or milk? Ty.
