This little ditty came after Zappa asked then 19 year old Essra Mohawk - https://www.facebook.com/ESSRAMOHAWK.FanPage - to join the Mothers and named her "Uncle Meat." Frank signed Essra to his production company and released her first album, SANDY'S ALBUM IS HERE AT LAST on Verve/Bizarre soon after. Mohawk claims "Frank may have been the first yuppie" to CNBC @ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cWCdlrAVqTU

"The only things I knew how to play were songs I'd written. Frank stepped off the stage to hear the piano & when he heard me singing my songs he jumped back up & said to follow. Frank said "Come into my office" & then asked "How'd you like to be a Mother?" And I said "sure."

Her PRIMORDIAL LOVERS was called in Rolling Stone "one of the 25 best albums of all time." Essra's "I Have Been Here Before" was the uncredited inspiration for David Crosby's "Deja Vu." She duets with Bonnie Bramlett on "The Moment" @ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hUNkWEEPEtw

Mohawk wrote Cyndi Lauper's "Change of Heart" and songs for Vanilla Fudge, Bob Weir, The Shangri-Las, Rita Coolidge, Peabo Bryson, Annie Haslam, etc. Hear her sleeping giant of a song "Stronger Than The Wind" that Tina Turner also recorded @ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nm1G1p3dtn4

"Bizarre Beginnings" is from REVELATIONS OF THE SECRET DIVA which commemorates the 40th Anniversary of 1967's Summer of Love.
