In the last few years, the world-famous snows of Kilimanjaro have suffered from the effects of global warming. The surface area of the glaciers has gone from 12 to 2 square kilometers in a single century. 2009 seems to have been a better year for fresh snowfall but the impact of global warming could mean that the highest point in Africa (5,891 meters) could lose its "eternal snows" by 2020.

  • Amazing, incredible movie! Too bad it won't change a thing.... I was in America for one year. It was wonderful and the people were very friendly. But all they care about is Football and their pickup truck. Most of them don't give shit on real problems mankind has. Too bad...

  • kilimanjaro is in Tanzania not Kenya!

  • watch?v=yz_0qVlAisI

  • I wonder what the per-capita CO2 use of this film crew is? I'm guessing it's off the charts

  • @georgejn2000 Big up 2 that

  • @roquemoz1 Does that change anything? Does that make it less worse. Come on don't be "intelligent"!

  • Mount Kilimanjaro is in TANZANIA. We dont need patent right but it is on the land of Peace, Tanzania where largest national park Serengeti is found.

  • @potty90 in the country are the problem but the leaders. And here I very well can break it down to the simple conclusion: All of the influential leaders in our world, no matter if it is in the USA or where I come from, they all are corrupt, buyable and immoral. And in this matter I have to say, that the USA and Switzerland are-seen as a unit- one of the worst role models existent.

  • @SgtMako I do not judge, I state my opinion. Of course it is not very helpful to generalize a whole country, but neither is to glamorize it. We as rich countries are not considerate of other poor countries and the entire world in general. All we are looking for is money, profit and money. Ask your republican leaders why they are not willing to improve solar industries but to keep polluting the world with oil?! All they want is keep the unethical amount of money they gain with it. Not the people

  • @potty90 You mention America like it's the sole problem, citing our fascination with sport...but honestly, who are you to judge? The entire world stops every four years to watch the World Cup, and you complain that our casual enjoyment of a high school football game is the reasoning behind environmental troubles? Get fucking serious.

  • @potty90 Not all Americans are like you stereotyped them to be,I myself am quite different than the masses and know many others like me also.
