The weather was deceptive on this day. The high for the day was about 60 F so most band members chose to wear shorts and a t-shirt under their uniform. The parad was delayed and we had to wait on the Mall for about 2 hours. Meanwhile a cold front came through and the weather immediately dropped to about 30 F and we were quite chilly. Believe it or not, those wool uniforms do not provide any warmth.
