  • Unbeatable. Why are we all so serious and "kool" these days?

  • Do blue men sing the whites or are they hypocriiites for singing? ~ Great

  • At least Vivian left "Arc of a diver" before he passed. Thanks Viv!

  • I am still a huge fan - bought all their albums right back to Do Not Adjust Your Set (1968) - my head is still full of their lyrics and I run them though my head every like I have for the last 40+ years, my bible.

  • Yep. Been listening to them since the 60s. They've never been bettered. Viv Stanshall is one of the best lyricists ever, and the funniest!

  • And after this, just to prove they weren't completely taking the piss on people who were better than they were, they did "9 to 5 Pollution Blues" - still a bit of a piss take but good solid electric blooze.

  • @thegranddilligaf Actually they all were born in England but it British sounds better.

  • @strangeones4 I think the Bonzos were the English (and I do mean English as opposed to British) equivalent of Frank Zappa and The Mothers Of Invention- tight musicianship and intelligent satire.

  • This song mocks everything I love about 1960's British Blues; John Mayall, Fleetwood Mac with Peter Green, Jeremy Spencer, and Eric Clapton. Yet it's not insulting. Just as "Gorilla" was a jaunt into British 1930's (American 1920's) jazz, the Bonzo's did it with taste.

  • youtube.com/watch?v=KDFm36ygkj0&feature=related this seems to be exactly what they were going about, don't you think? In my mind anyway it's a pretty close analogy
