Sabor De Alegria is a patriotic song which talks about our unconditional love for our City "Zamboanga" Originally dubbed as "El Sabor Del Alegria" as used by Poloy in previous battle of the bands (Heavy Rock). Rearranged tune and lyrics by JayR and and Mirage bringing a new beat (Live Beat Song) and original tune to give emphasis to the meaning of the song.

We composed this song cuando kel tiempo que manada matanza y kidnapping na diatun ciudad somewhere in mid 2009..

1st Verse

PONDA de ALEGRIA one of the best things that ever happend to Zamboanga. Were the barangay Leaders organize a night to enjoi for almost 10days.. PONDA originally started at Barangay Tetuan which means "Celebration" started in 1989 by former Barangay Captain now councilor Elong Natividad 10 days before Fiesta with Live band in the local Barangay with booth stalls selling drinks , barbeque, isaw etc, each night Zamboangenios parade to witness the event. and the other barangays followed. namely Ayala who first followed and holds their PONDA in december before new year.


2nd verse
We have to participate... usa kita diatun wisho para keda buen Zamboangeño..

nomas Ulvida kay diatun ste.. MAs kin kosa pa ay pasa. Ariba Zamboanga kita ay grita we should be proud..

Sabor de Alegria Originally used at the Battle of the bands competition by Poloy. The song remained unnoticed. Until lyrics and vocal tune edited by JayR. and added flares by Mirage rhytm section Allan brings the lively keyboard sound, Marlon incorporates timely tune of the bass, Pox brings the original signature of the guitars and drumbeat and new tempo by Edgar.. All this to fit the Zamboanga Song and so we decided to record the First modern Zamboanga Song of our generation for Zamboangenios to sing. enjoi.

MIRAGE united to bring the Zamboangenio dream. Its a vision an aim. if we stay united we can bring back the greatness that was there in Zamboanga.

Nice Job Guys...Just loved my visit to Zamboanga in....1969...thats right, I'm old enough to be your grandfather, but I always enjoyed a fresh band with positive energy like yours.

Oh I was in the Navy in 69 and My ship USS Rehoboth pulled in to your beautyful harbor with our own ship band, on the front deck, playing "Sittin on the dock of the bay" and a crowd gathered, beautiful and friendly people. Never forget it. If your interested :)
