Mimiron Kill in Ulduar 10 - Tanking Perspective

This was Twilight Reapers' first Mimiron kill in 10 man Ulduar. Killed April 25th, 2009; Arthas Realm. Played at 110% speed. Recorded from the perspective of a protection warrior as the OT. Frost DK as the MT. Hardest fight in Ulduar so far, but very well designed. Props to Blizzard. Check the list of raid members at the end.

Our tanking strategy:
Phase 1. DK tanks the tank in the middle. I stay way back to soak as many fire bombs as I can. DK uses cooldowns for each Plasma blast. The DK relocates the boss after moving out of Shock blast. If the bosses reaches his 4th Plasma charge before he dies, I taunt the boss and use Shield Wall.
Phase 2. No tanking. Stay out of red circles.
Phase 3. DK tanks large robots and Junk bots. I hold aggro on the Head and taunt the Boom bots as the spawn. Healers heal me through the boom bot damage. I use spell reflect as much as possible (preferable during boom bot explosions) to mitigate as many plasma bolts as I can.
Phase 4. Dk tanks bottom. I tank the top. I continue to spell reflect and move with the raid out of harm. The DK tanks the bottom piece in the center.

I"m trying to get a new sheild since i dont have time to Do Uld or ToC even tho i konw all the fights from a tank PoV. any shield worth getting thats quick and easy? i have Skull of Ruin ATM and i'm not a big fan of it. I'm thinking Barracade of Eternity. but thats it. and plus, even if i wanted the ToC ones, i ahve to have one of either 10/25 achives before i can even go in. so any tips?

If you don't have time to do Uld or ToC, all you can do is Heroics and Naxx. And you don't need a better shield for those places. I don't really see a problem here.

Nope, don't have DBM installed or running in this video. Blizzard has added many raid warnings on their own now.

That "weird setup of grid" is just basic Blizzard raid frames. Only addon in this video is recount. ;]
