  • Great sound, Great bike! I had a 77 SS 750...It would spank the pants off my buddy's brand new 750cc Ninja....at least to about 100mph. He hated that! lol

  • @kingrukus1234 . Yea, that's about the way mine is. A lot of people don't believe it'll keep up with or beat the new bikes, but they are mistaken....up to 100 anyway. Mine's got 836cc and billet cam.

  • @Chakuyou I was a skeptic too till I rode one. They are kinda heavy and not nearly as aerodynamic. Only problem I had with the bike was wind wanting to rip me off past about 90mph....on a new sportbike the fairing does a great job at diverting the wind! 140mph + feels like your sitting at the kitchen table! lol I am planning on buying an 81' cb750ss this summer. I am gonna go through and build the engine up a bit, swap out the swingarm/forks/and wheels from a cbr 929 and see what comes of it!

  • @kingrukus1234 , the later dohc is not as fast, but I've heard you can get a lot from a re-jet. I've done 125 on mine and it had more, even with 15/43 sprokets. That was fast enough for me.....!!

  • music to my ears! recognisable rasp from that honda four. Whats the pipe on it?

  • @alimacdee , an older MAC 4-1 header.

  • Don't know for sure. I bought it at a motorcycle junkyard in bad shape. The people there thought it might've been rebuilt by a guy back in the late '70s, that was using Wiesco 836 pistons and a custom made billet cam. It doesn't run like any stocker 750 I've seen or ridden, it's actually got plenty of bottom end torque.....but I've never had it apart, so I don't know for sure.

  • wow that is an amazing sounding bike right there, what all is done to it.

  • I took off the original 4 to 1 Honda header to save, replaced with MAC painted header. The MAC has held up well for nearly 6 years and is better tuned than the honda OEM header.

  • Don't know much about vtec, but I'm only taking it up to 7200rpms...it'll go 9000, but heck it's 30 years old so I'm taking it easy on the ol girl. This isn't much over 3/4 throttle and I'm rolling it on.
