i really like this idea of electric saxophone but what about playing it live. does it have to be hooked up to a computer or can you run it through an amp or some speaker that i can take to gigs and jam sessions. i dont want to carry around a computer with me.

sounds great... been looking at the ewi 4000 also, what are your thoughts on that as a little less expensive item?.... does the wx5 have various fingering setting options, i would like to find a wind synth that allows me the same fingering style as a recorder, is that possible with the wx5.... how about changing keys, is this just a matter of setting a dial?..pardon me lack of written music theory, i play by ear so far, but am learning more on youtube about music...happy tunes....aloha, forest

hey Tony Thank you very much. Your videos encourage me to get WX5 but I kind of discourage because is like playing a different instrument. I gonna try again or I gonna wait until somebody makes a flute wind controller.
Hello Tony, I hope you can help me. I'm planning to get The Motif xs. I also have a WX5. I was wondering if this combination is good. I tried the VL70 but I didn't like the sounds and the lack of utilities, like making your own sounds, or adding natural sounds, MIDI applications, among others. Also, would I need to get a PLG150AN?

@cyberpuma79 I don't know. I've never used a Motif XS. But I'm pretty sure the PLGs don't work in ANY of the XS products...

Hi Tony, I just bought a WX5 and is driving me crazy. I'm a flute player, so I set up the fingering for flute. It's kind uncomfortable to push an extra key to get octaves. When you set it up for sax you have to push that key to get octaves? I have never played a sax and I tough this could be easier. THX

@vernymusic Yes, the octave keys work the same way for the Sax modes. But Sax Players don't really mind, because there's an octave key on the sax. You'll just need to get your mind wrapped around the idea, because on the WX5, blowing harder only makes it louder. :)

Where does the breath condensation end up (or go to) in these wind controllers?

Right out the other end... and onto the floor.
