Thanks Markus. Is there a second part to this video? I take it of course the lions finished the kill, but I hope it was fast and that poor buffalo didn't suffer for too much longer?
It's obvious they are sentient beings, and they have thought processes as they tried to help their downed friend. So sad. But if the lions don't eat, they die too. Such is nature.
I am going on a safari at the end of this month.

The program I got it from was a series of shots, not an hour long narrative. So, in answer to your question of what happened to the poor buffalo, one lion just kept batting at the bull's face in the swamp. The entire event was itself only an excerpt. It might have taken over an hour for the whole attack, I don't know. Thanks for your +ive comment.

Ya, the buffalo..it's like they're sentient beings, not just meat. Thanks for your thoughtful comment.
