How to Install Nookie Froyo (Android 2.2) on the Nook Color

[READ- Market Fix in Description] In this video, I'll demonstrate how you can successfully install Nookie Froyo, or Android 2.2 onto your Nook Color. This comes with the Android Market, Gmail, Adobe Reader, Dolphin Browser Mini, Dropbox, ROM Manager, and the Terminal Emulator pre-installed. If you want Adobe Flash, simply download Flash 10.2 from the Android Market.

*Note: If apps are not downloading from the Android Market, follow these steps:

1) Go to Settings-- Applications-- Manage applications-- All (It's a tab on top)-- Google Services Framework (You might have to scroll down a bit) Tap on Clear data-- ok. Then tap on "Force stop."

2) Once you force stop "Google Services Framework," press the back arrow and search for "Market." Tap on Market-- Clear data-- ok. Then tap "force stop."

3) Open up the ROM Manager Application. (If you get a message saying the SD Card is not mounted, just tap ok.)

4) While in ROM Manager, tap on "Fix Permissions." (This could take a minute or two to finish.) Once this is done, tap ok.

5) Still in ROM Manager, tap on Reboot into Recovery--ok

--Your Nook Color should now shut down and boot into CWR by itself.--

6) Scroll down to "mounts and storage" (Volume down button scrolls down. n button selects.)

7) Scroll down to "format cache", and then select "Yes-Format."

-- Your device will say it is "formating /cache..." --

8) Once it says that it is done, press the power button once, and then select "reboot system now."

-- Your device will now reboot into Nookie Froyo --

Now your Android Market woes will be no more! =P

**Important note: Please note that this wipes *everything* off your internal drive. If you want to undo this, please wait for my new unrooting video due next week.

***Also, I'm not responsible if you screw anything up and damage anything. Now, it's almost impossible to brick your Nook Color, so as long as you follow the instructions, you should be all set.

I'm confused is this rooted to internal or SD and can I install apps to SD if the SD is rooted

@Spencerwalker21 internal. If you erase the Sd card, you can use that to install apps to the sd

@huskermania i tried turning it off in wi-fi settings but it didnt work! now it keeps turning on & off?? i had originally rooted my nook with your first video and it worked great i had no problems what so ever...now im thinking i may have to go back to that version cause i just cant figure out why i cant get the wi-fi to work! any other ideas?

@smantiply1 Turn wifi off, then restart, then turn wifi on. Let me know if that helps.

@huskermania my computer keeps saying that the downloaded nookie-froyo-0.6.8.c zip folder is empty, and therefore no files can be extracted. i've tried to download it several times. please help!

I love your video but my nook color got to the lockscreen and the touchscreen became unresponsive. I can't power it off and the computer does not show the device in my computer. The microsd card won't do anything. I can't get past the lockscreen I have not got in once. Please help can u tell me what to do with this I have no idea. PLEASE!

@huskermania after doing this I tried to download items from the android market place, however it keeps failing the download... do you know how to get these downloads to take? Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
