@UnravelThe Ok, how do you think the gov. can weed out those who have been here from the 60's and those who LIE and say they've been here from the 60's. With that problem alone it crumbles any other privilege's that the bidouns would probably get and it's all because of illegal immigrants. Don't get me wrong I'm sure that this issue will be solved in the near future, but please don't make it sound as simple as granting the Bidoun citizenship based on their word or a doc. that could be forged..
-
@bboyrakoon The government should grant citizenship to biduns of Kuwait who can prove their presence for a certain period of time. For example, someone born in 1960s should be eligible. An alternative is to grant Permanent Residency to Kuwaiti biduns that allows them to at least travel and with time citizenship. However, they MUST be of good character. I believe there are several alternative but my main goal is defending human rights.
-
@bboyrakoon If a non-Kuwaiti woman can obtain citizenship if married to a Kuwaiti, then at least grant citizenship to the children of Kuwaiti mothers. A girl I know, both parents are divorced for mutual reasons, at the age of 11, mom carries Kuwaiti citizenship (Article 1), her dad was born in Kuwait on 1940s. She's 25, and remains stateless. The Kuwaiti parliament approved ONLY citizenship to children of Kuwaiti mothers, but it has not been followed through.

@UnravelTheTruth Don't get me wrong. I am all for giving the people that deserve Kuwaiti citizenship that right, but please tell me how to do so without UNFAIRLY giving it to those who just got to Kuwait illegally..? I am for preserving the benifit of having the Kuwaiti citizenship and UNLESS you (of all people) have a better idea on how to allow those who deserve to obtain their rightful citizenship then tell me because I will keep my stance on the subject..
-
I do not say all biduns deserve the citizenship, but what about those that do? Will they have to suffer until the unpatriotic biduns desert Kuwait? Its inhuman.
The Kuwaiti government issues the biduns a passport called Article 17. I'm sure you're aware of it. Once, they were given an idea to grant citizenship without any benefits the Kuwaitis receive from its government. It was only a means to travel easily. The idea was rejected. How can people be so mistreated from such basic rights?

@bboyrakoon I present facts and a historical argument on Kuwait and the bidun of Kuwait, and all you did was present propaganda, whilst calling me a misinformed low life? Your logic is flawed. How can ALL biduns cannot be true Kuwaitis while there exits a SMALL percentage that are? If biduns do not live in Kuwait then how come its been constant problem for years? Moreover, what qualifies one to become a true Kuwaiti?
-
@UnraveTheTruth Don't call me ignorant. I know a lot about Kuwait and I don't have to prove a word of my knowledge some some pathetic low life like you. Get over yourself, the bedoun have been a problem for years and if you actually think that all of the bedoun are true Kuwaiti's then YOU have been misinformed because the fact of the matter is that a big percentage of them are not Kuwaiti nor have their parents lived in Kuwait. So please don't try and school me on what I already know. Children..

@YemeniSerb The majority of the Kuwaiti nationality holders come from Iraq, Iran, Saudi Arabia, etc. The biduns also come from the countries I previously mentioned. However, the public believe the biduns want to take advantage of Kuwait's benefits through citizenship. This is true for ONLY the biduns who hide their identity. Unfortunately, the Kuwaiti government use inhuman tactics to cast aside the biduns completely, including those born without citizenship.
@Q8stang
Bidouns who turn in their original nationality DO get the same treatment as foreigners. The government gives them temporary residence just like any person visiting Kuwait. Since the year 2000, 20,000 of the so-called Bidoun turned in their original nationality to get the residency. I agree with the actions of the government. The majority of these fake Bidoun are LIARS & the government should treat them as such until they give in their original nationality.

I think bedouns should atleast get human rights just like any human should like health care and work...if ur not gonna treat them like kuwaities atleast treat them like foreigners but denying them any human rights is just wrong... but what really pisses me off are people who come from other countries and drop their nationalities and passport and say that they are bedouns just to try to get the kuwaity nationality and i think these type of bedouns should be denied human rights and go back home..
