Was that A Roar , You Decide .

I had only been in the forest for about 5 minutes when I heard a very loud roaring sound . I stopped and got the camera out and luckily caught this second sound that was shorter in duration and not quite as loud . When you watch the video you'll hear it again for a second . I could hear a combine harvesting corn off in the distance , and a plane . But the " roar " sound was as you can tell very much louder . I'm not going to make a claim as to what it is but it really put a chill n me , being 14 miles from town , and pretty far into the forest .

My cousin and i were sitting outside smoking a cig and heard a bunch of leaves being stepped on this was around 12:00 and then we hear this loud roar that sounded just like that hear in lafayette, louisiana ): it was very scary gave me the chills and gave my cousin and i the urge to go in the woods and look to see what it was instead we went inside locked the doors and windows and told the family they looked at us like we were crazy... so we went to sleep

I'm convinced this was a Sasquatch. That doesn't sound like a bear, and definitely not a mountain lion. Even if a bear had made that sound, it wouldn't have traveled so far, and been so loud and deep. My honest opinion.

Be careful man, you ought to take at least some kind of protection with you.. If not a weapon, something like a blow-horn or a whistle..? Any loud and obnoxious noise making toy.^.^

We don't want to hurt any animals, but we don't want any humans getting hurt either..

That is the sound we heard in Bella coola quite often it was a saquatch we used to hear them even closer in the surrounding woods and off in the mountains, thats the sound. I was 8 years old and I heard it farely often and we were used to those sounds, our home was in the bush so we saw all kinds of creachers, I saw one once while sitting on the porch and got up and walked slowly towards it it was a young one and it suddenly took off from a standing position, so fast like a streak it was gone.

Kinda sounds like a dinosaur!!! LOL But it was definitely a "roar!" Be very, very careful! I agree that it sounded territorial! the communications I've had with them have never been this guttural or demanding. It's always been whistles and some howls and knocking but never like this. You were SOOO lucky to get your camera out at the same time the sound happened again! Yahooo!

@timbergiantbigfoot it was definitely a sasquatch,it was quite a distance away too,it sounded to me like a territorial roar,it was far enough that it had nothing to do with you,they probably had no idea you were there,it came from atleast a mile away.
