This was my first year at UA, and sadly, my only year marching, but it was one HELL of a year. Roll Tide!

This brings back a lot of memories. This was my freshman year (and only year) to march for U of A.
However, I don't believe the '99 band performed the Phantom show. I think that was another year. I certainly don't remember marching a Phantom show.

@adua78 Wow, How the times change

Irony = the drum major at 4:13 is now the band director at Auburn.

Tennessee's band is not int he same league. Never has been, never will be. This is about 1/3 of the usual pregame since both bands had to perform.
-
Its a pretty standard spell out, but it gives me goose bumps every time. BAMA rolltideroll! Why is it the best pregame of all? Cause its ours.

In fairness, it was a shortened show, but I can still understand what you mean. Pregame's lack of creativity is not the band's fault. The blame falls on the athletic dept. Mal Moore and the marketing department would rather fire up the crowd by having 2,453,683 presentations, like rings for the division champions for women's water polo. It's absurdity, and each year the pregame suffers more because of it. The last entertaining pregame was in early 1998. They even formed an elephant.

Oh HOW I DESIRE TO BE IN THIS MARCHING BAND!!! ROLL TIDE!!!!!!

This was a shortened version of their pregame that year. Believe me, the halftime show, "Phantom" made up for their pregame. BELIEVE ME!
well first of all moron... it says 1999, almost 10 years ago... so it has changed since then. The outline of the state idea is the stupidest thing i've ever heard.. and they do form an A that the team runs through... just not at the SEC championship.. but I guess Tennessee wouldn't know much about that since they don't get their very often.
