grunt- I would not deride Duncan Hunter, because he IS conservative, But I wish YOU would give the rest of the info on the reasoning behind the S.1156 vote. There was Nicaraguans AND Cubans, yes,BUT These mostly were the people who had fought with the Contras and against Fidel...against Communism and Socialism, and they were political refugees running for their and their families lives. Duncan Hunter is the candidate of choice for conservatives. View Thompson's record on amnesties at Americans for Better Immigration. Thompson voted for an amnesty to illegal aliens from Nicaragua and Cuba. Sen. Thompson voted for a procedural move that helped allow the Mack Amendment to be included in S.1156. This amendment granted amnesty to illegal aliens from Nicaragua and Cuba and added close to one million people to U.S. population.

Fred Thompson is a hypocrite. We would not have 12 to 20 million illegals if you would not have contributed to an "open borders" immigration when you were in the Senate. This is why Americans for Better Immigration gave you a grade of "C". America has had enough rhetoric from political hypocrites. Stay on TV and stop "acting" like you're a conservative you fraud.
