On the night of June 30, 2005, basically on a dare, Maynard Allen, stage virgin, found himself face-to-face with a packed house of curiosity seekers at New York's Sanford-Meisner Theatre. The result, according to one critic, was "George Carlin meets Tom Waits meets Spaulding Grey." With no rehearsal, no experience, and using only sights on the wall as cues, Allen pulls off a comedy coup. A once-in-a-lifetime show, thankfully captured on video.
