I believe it is comical..... Don Imus made a simple little remark and lost his job for it. The president and MR. GATES on the other hand can say and DO whatever they'd like and there are no repercussions..... this isn't right.... if this were a white man, Gates would get fired and Obama would get impeached, or close to it.... this is RACISM, I can't believe Harvard, such a prominent school, allows these kind of Professors on its campus......

Yes I'm siding with the cop. GATES overreacted to a police officer wanting to talk to him. All he was there to do was to make sure a burglary wasn't happening or maybe even a home invasion. As soon as he contacted GATES he got resistance and insults...and he WAS leaving the residence...GATES followed him outside and kept after him causing a PUBLIC DISTURBANCE which he was told to stop yelling and go back inside...but he had to keep pushing it.

You would think the president of the USA would be able to get some facts on the case first, even the next day when he still did not bother to find out the facts says it all, We are lucky he did not have to make a decision using Nukes as a bit hard to walk that back after the bombs would have gone off.

If you read his 2 books everyone would have known how and what he thinks of whites which is strange him being 1/2 white himself ?

He wants to play them against whites for votes in 2010.

Yes, Blacks and hispanics DO get stopped more, because the majority of lower class races are black and hispanic.. and crime is higher, cause of that fact, no money, no food, bad parents, whatever the reason, crime is higher where there is poverty.. So yes, there are going to be more stops by police in South Central LA, and in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. ... but these stupid fucking politicians make it out to be a race issue. BULLSHIT.

You can't always believe whats in a police report because thats just what it is a Police Report, meaning it can say whatever the Police want it to say. When you listen to the 911 call and read the report, not everything matches up to what the caller said.

You can't be serious. What Imus said wasn't racial in my opinion but he has been known to make racist comments so that why he got the reactions he did for those comments. I don't see how anyone can take what Obama said as racist. He never said that it was racial profiling he just discussed the history of minorities and cops.He took Gates side b/c Gates is his friend; if your friend was arrested in his own home who side would you take.
