There are so may meanings. Everyone needs to shut up and make your perspective of what this song or video is about. Because in fact maynard himself has made songs for the listeners to make there own judgment on what it means.

Ex: schism can mean many things. Braking apart of the church in Europe was the great schism. Or a schism between tow or more individuals.

So argument is useless in saying who is right or wrong. Everyone is right.

i view life in a paradoxical manner, so the body very well can not be an illusion. i dont need to read a book to know that, but hey i might give the book a look at. and when i think about it... reality is all just our perception, so in that case anything you perceive to be reality

is reality. now when i think of it this arguing over whats real or not is just stupid. (not that this pertains to our conversation)

dont insult my intelligence asshole. i dont believe in all of that JUST BECAUSE its sung powerfully or profoundly effects my mood.... i legitamatley believe in that. and no, case isnt shut. there is no definitive answer. there are millions of possibilities. dont assume that im an ignorant turd like most people are. those are just my thoughts on life, as of now. because ive found that what ive said interesting, and to be very plausible. i reccomend that you dont assume.

@tbone81395 Tool is cool, but basing your entire philosophy of life around them is dangerous and may stunt growth. the body is not just "an illusion." just because it is sung powerfully with a punchy groove and a lot of force and gumption, does not automatically mean the "book is shut" and "case is closed" on that subject. Tooltards will no doubt argue about the profundity of truth within tool lyrics. But I would recommend reading a book like Alvin Boyd Kuhn's 'The Ultimate Canon of Knowledge'
